Dr. Marvin left the school to start a general surgery private practice
in September 2000. He now attends patients at St. Luke's, the Methodist
and Hermann-Memorial hospitals in the Texas Medical Center.
Dr. Marvin did additional training in advanced
Bariatric Surgery in 1998 at Mount Sinai Medical School in New York
City. He has had an active practice primarily in
laparoscopic roux-en-y
gastric bypass procedures
since 2002. He also performs revision of bariatric procedures for
selected patients who have had surgery to treat
morbid obesity.
He currently is an Associate Surgeon with the
Obesity Surgery
Specialists of Houston.
